Rowan’s Back-to-School Shirt with Handprints: Kindergarten Update!
UPDATE: Rowan and his back-to-school shirt were featured on Good Morning America! I KNOW!
If you’ve been following along these parts over the last four years (thanks!), you probably know that I am slightly obsessed with creating keepsakes for my boys. I can’t help myself. It’s an addiction that I just can’t kick.
One of my absolute favorite keepsakes that I’ve made so far has been the back-to-school shirt with handprints for every grade for my oldest son, Rowan.
He started preschool (really a Mother’s Morning Out program) when he was two, and now he’s about to enter Kindergarten! Momma here CANNOT believe it.
We’ve added his cute little handprint to the back of the shirt and snapped his photo in the behemoth every year since. It’s been the neatest way to document his growth and changing personality.
Here are the shots from his first three years:
Since this school year begins on August 1st (I know! SO EARLY!), it was time for us to pull Rowan’s shirt out of our guest room’s closet, dust it off, and add his adorable-but-ever-growing Kindergartener handprint.
Here’s Mr. Rowan with his purple hand, all ready for Operation Update Shirt:
And here he is showing it off! He’s always been a great little model for Momma’s blog, and these photos get easier and easier to take every year. No more wrangling a restless toddler!
We’ll see how much of a sport he is as he enters high school though… ;)
I just love seeing these photos every year. Sentimental mommy, for sure.
Just look at how much he’s grown!! His shirt now comes above his knees! *sniffle*
