FREE Printable Race Car Valentine’s Day Cards!
My son had his very first school Valentine’s Day party yesterday, and Momma here was definitely way more excited about it than he was!
I mean, he’s only two, so he doesn’t get too excited about anything other than Blaze & the Monster Machines, M&M’s, garbage trucks, and puppies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I, on the other hand, couldn’t WAIT to make the little Valentine’s Day cards for him to pass out to his classmates and teachers!
Just another excuse to get my craft on.
Since Rowan is all boy and totally obsessed with all things transportation, I decided it would be more than appropriate for him to pass out some toy race cars with several oh-so-punny sayings.
After scouring Pinterest and Google for ideas, I whipped up these bad boys in no time!
And you can snag the FREE printable below if you’d like your little lad or lady to use them for their Valentine’s Day cards too!

Race Car Valentine’s Day Cards: Supplies
Here’s what I used to create these DIY race car Valentine’s Day cards:
- FREE printable with four different styles (find it below!)
- Photo paper
- Printer & ink
- Scissors or paper trimmer
- Toy cars
- Hot Wheels
- Matchbox
- Off-brand from online, a local dollar store, or Target’s One Spot
- Decorative washi tape

How to Make DIY Race Car Valentine’s Day Cards
These printable race car Valentine’s Day cards come in four different puntacular sayings:
- I wheelie like you.
- You rev my engine.
- You make my heart race.
- I like how you roll.
I printed them out four cards per 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of matte photo paper, but you could also use card stock if you wanted them to be extra sturdy.
Plain printer paper would work too.
My paper trimmer worked perfectly to cut them out to size, but of course scissors would also get the job done.
The cars are from Dollar Tree, and they came three to a pack!
So I got twelve cars for only $4.
Score!
Lastly, to attach the cars to the cards, I just used a small strip of some decorative washi tape across the top.
It couldn’t have been easier or cheaper!
Plus, since some parents and schools have concerns about food allergies, these are a great non-candy Valentine’s Day treat option.

The FREE Race Car Valentine’s Day Cards!
I just think these cards turned out so adorable!
And they were super simple to put together, too.
Ya can’t beat that!

Download the FREE Race Car Valentine’s Day Cards Printable
Feel free to download the free printable for your kiddo to use for his/her Valentine’s Day fun!

There are two files in the download folder:
- One has a “Valentine” greeting up top
- The other is blank up top and does not have a greeting so your child can personalize them and write the names of his/her friends
NOTE: If you’d like to type your greeting and/or kiddos’ name in the same font I used, it’s called Dance Club and you can find it here.
Then your child can simply sign his/her name, attach the cars, then pass out the finished race car Valentine’s Day cards to all of their friends!
Just click the ‘DOWNLOAD’ graphic below to go to the folder and find your preferred file.
Enjoy!

These are so neat! My 5 year old and I love them. I am having difficulty downloading the graphics though. I clicked on your download graphic, and then I see the pdf and jpeg but I dont see any option to download past that. If I click on each image it just gets a little bigger. Im not the most tech savy, so I'm probably doing something wrong.

Hi Jessica! I just checked the download folder, and it looks like Dropbox has changed the settings a bit. I am able to download (on a Mac) by either clicking on 'Open' in the upper right corner then choosing 'Open in Preview' or 'Show in Finder', or by hovering over one of the enlarged files and clicking the small printer on the bottom (then once the PDF opens up in a new tab, there is a Download option...the downward-pointing arrow). There used to be a large blue 'Download' box on the top right, but I guess they've decided to complicate things, LOL. I'm not sure what exactly it looks like on Windows. Hope this helps!

This is SO cute and my car-obsessed son is super excited to make them. He lovingly picked cars for each kid in his class and can't wait to put them together. Thanks for this adorable card!
