Happy Blogiversary! How glad I am to have just found your blog. It looks amazing! Anyway, my birthday was just yesterday. My mom and sister took me shopping and out for lunch. It was extra special because both my mom and I are disabled and I never go shopping – too painful. But both Mom and I were having good days, so we went and had a good time. Then I went home and took a long nap! :)

Hm, I don’t know about *the* best, but I think I really enjoy giving (and my recipients really seem to get super excited) handmade personalized gifts, like tote bags in patterns and fabric I thought they’d love, scarves, headbands, zippered pouches, painted vases and mugs, and most recently items made with my new Cameo – tea towels and tshirts.

Actually the best birthday gift was not to me but from me! I surprised my daughter who lives out of state (she is the one who got me started on Silhouette) by showing up on her doorstep (with a bouquet of red silhouette made roses in a heart shape on canvas). I hid around the corner of the house and watched as she looked at the gift and knew it was from me, but couldn’t see me! It was AWESOME!
Congratulations on your one year anniversary! I have enjoyed getting to know you through your blog and seeing all of your wonderful ideas! Good luck for this coming year! I’m sure it will be great! My daughters and I LOVE to use our Silhouettes and create a ton! I just finished designing/cutting a logo for our church girls camp out of gold glitter HTV! Can’t wait to use my new heat press and hope it works! Thanks for an opportunity to win some COOL surprises!
Warmly,
Joanne :D

Congratulations on your 1 year blogaversary…… It is hard to blog all the time let a lone with a child… I have a 13 month old so I feel your pain sometimes…… The best gift I ever received was my ew Silhouette Cameo, I have the original but I was foaming at the mouth for the the new one….. My sweet sweet hubby got me one I was so surprised and excited ha ha ha ha… He didn’t understand my pure happiness at getting a new one so i had to break it down for him in his beer brewing terminology then he got it lol…… Keep up the great work, I love to drop in and get inspired.
Christine says
Thanks so much for all the kind words, Natalie! Yeah, I TOTALLY agree with you about the Silhouette being a great birthday present. My husband surprised me with one too for my birthday last year….and it’s actually the reason behind me starting this very blog! Crazy, huh?! That’s too funny about having to use beer brewing terminology for your husband….I would need to do something similar for mine, only he would need motorcycle parts to understand! ;) haha!
Jamie says
Congrats on one year of blogging! Thanks for bringing us smiles every day. :) The best birthday gift I ever received was my DSLR. My parents gave it to me right before I left for my Disney College Program so I could document every detail. It’s been my faithful sidekick and best friend for two years and will travel with me next month as I take my final trip as a Disney Cast Member.
Christine says
Jamie…you’re a Disney Cast Member?!?! That is SO COOL! And I think probably the best. job. ever! Seriously, you must love going to work everyday. And I agree with you about how awesome a DSLR is. We bought one a few years ago right before we traveled to Europe and I’m totally in love with it….although it still might be a little too fancy for me, haha. :)
