FREE First Day of School Sign Printables – THREE Color Versions!

Both of my boys are headed back to school during the first week of August (I know!), and this momma here is big on her keepsakes, even when it comes to the school year.

I mean, hello…Rowan’s yearly DIY back-to-school shirt with handprints for every grade, anyone?

Here’s a quick time-lapse video showing how I created a similar shirt for my youngest son!

I’ve previously shared a digital chalkboard First Day of School sign that I made for Rowan’s first year of pre-school, and it’s become an annual tradition to take the requisite First Day of School photo with an updated sign now:

A ton of people have asked me if those signs were available (they’re not, boo), so I thought I’d go ahead and create a series of non-chalkboard signs (hello savings in printer ink!) to share here as free printables.

So here they are!

Aren’t those little anthropomorphic school supply critters just the cutest??

Free First Day of School Sign Versions & Colors

Here are the different versions/grades of this free First Day of School sign:

  • School
  • Pre-School
  • Pre-K
  • Kindergarten
  • First through Twelfth Grade

There are also THREE color options available for each as well:

  • Bright, classic school colors
  • Soft (some might say more girly) colors
  • Simple black & white and with no cute little characters (a “Just the facts, ma’am” version)

And are the designs of these First Day of School signs giving you some flash backs to the end of last school year??

Don’t worry, you’re not cray cray.

I used the same theme for the free teacher appreciation printable that I shared back in May, and feel free to grab both versions of that printable too!

What can I say…those little school characters are just so stinkin’ cute…even without arms.

I’ve also recently gotten around to sharing the coordinating free LAST Day of School sign printables too, so don’t miss those either!

    1. You can find them all at the Download section below
  2. Print it out
    1. Regular printer paper will work just fine, or if you’d like something sturdier and crisper, try out some cardstock or photo paper

These are some of the most creative printables that I have seen in a long time. I think giving these to the children on the first day of school would mean a lot to them.
