It’s fall, y’all! Woot!

Here I’ll show you how I was able to create our very own festive and welcoming fall front porch.

A traditional fall Harvest theme (as opposed to a Halloween one) was just the ticket, and now we’re good through Thanksgiving!

Pumpkins, mums, cornstalks, leaves, pinecones…what’s more traditional than that??

Now our front porch not only screams “FALL,” but it’s also amped up our curb appeal to the nth degree.

It’s just the welcoming and inviting vibe I’ve always dreamt our home would have.

Silver and Gold…errr…Pumpkins and Mums

When I first started brainstorming ideas for what to do with our front porch this fall, I knew I wanted lots of pumpkins and mums framing our steps.

The deep red, two-tone orange, and yellow mums almost guide you up to our door, and they add a nice POP of color (plus, they include those cute baskets…hooray for decor you can reuse next season!).

{Side Note: If you’re out shopping for mums with your husband and he happens to be anything like mine, be prepared for him to say “Mum’s the word” over…and over…and over…the whole time. *Sigh*}

And no fall decor is complete without the traditional orange carving pumpkins, amiright?

You Don’t Have to ‘LEAVE’ Us Alone!

I didn’t just want to decorate the steps though, so once you reach our front door, the fall festiveness continues!

More pumpkins flank the door on either side, and a leafy doormat lays in between.

I also have some cute ornamental pumpkins and gourds displayed as well.

They’re just so tiny and adorable.

And is any house really a home without a wreath on the front door??

I think not.

I’m a serious wreath and door hanger connoisseur, so y’all know my fall front porch decor is going to include one too.

I just love this festive fall wreath!

It features faux leaves, pinecones, feathers, cattails, and colorful berries, and it really complements the other elements on our porch.

And for being artificial, it looks surprisingly realistic.

Family of the Corn(stalks)

Our home is located in rural Alabama, and we’re surrounded by farmland.

Scattered around us are fields growing all kinds of crops, especially cotton (we are the Cotton State, after all) and corn.

We therefore just had to include a couple cornstalks as well…guess you can call us corny! Ha!

Ok, bad joke…

They look so great standing tall against the red brick on the either side of our porch, and the height they provide gives some nice contrast to the short mums and pumpkins.

I am just over-the-moon in love with how our front porch looks this season!

I fully admit that every time I check the mailbox or drive to/from home, I just stare at it.

The colors just draw me in.
