Enjoy this FREE Box Tops graphic, printable, and cut file to help everyone remember to save those Box Tops and save money for school!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of General Mills®. The opinions and text are all mine.
Earlier this week, I shared a Rookie Box Tops for Education User’s Guide that details the 411 on this awesome FREE program for schools.
Make sure you check it out to see just how easy it is to earn big bucks for your kiddo’s school by doing what you’re probably already doing: stocking your pantry. Yup, it’s that easy.
I mentioned that I’m also going to recruit family members and friends to help us start (and grow) our Box Tops collection. The more, the merrier (and more moola), right?
To help remind them to snip these little rectangles of cardboard curricular currency, I created a super simple DIY reminder magnet that they can slap on their fridges.
Now they have no excuse for saying they forgot to bust out those scissors!
As promised, here’s the complete tutorial as well as the FREE cut file and printable for you to snag if you’d like!
Use them to make your own Box Tops reminder magnets, or for any other fun purpose at school, such as:
- Bulletin boards
- Posters
- Newsletters
- Mailing inserts
- Stickers
FREE Box Tops Reminder Graphic, Printable, & Cut File! {DIY Magnet Tutorial}
Supplies
- Adhesive magnet sheet or Printable magnetic paper
- Printed Box Tops reminder images (you can download them for free below!)
- Silhouette Cameo (or you can use good ole scissors or a craft knife)
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out both the printed images as well as the adhesive magnet backings, but you certainly can get the job done with scissors or an Xacto knife. No biggie.
If you’d like a full detailed tutorial on how to utilize the Silhouette’s print & cut function, check this out.
And I also have another tutorial showing how I created some DIY photo magnets using this same method, so feel free to scope that out too.
The How-To
Here’s the basic process. It’s super simple to whip these out!
Print the images then cut them out. That’s it.
Or if you want to save a step and cut out the images AND magnets at the same time, use printable magnet paper instead of what I did below (this wasn’t available when I first shared this project).
I used regular printer paper and my home inkjet printer, but you can certainly use photo paper or card stock if you’d like to get extra fancy.
Next, cut out the same shapes from the adhesive magnet sheet.
Peel away the paper backing on the magnet to reveal the sticky adhesive side.
Line up the edges and apply the printed design to the magnet. That’s it!
Since it’s just printer paper, these of course aren’t waterproof. If you’d like them to be more durable, maybe look into another medium like printable vinyl.
But these work just fine for us as well as our family and friends!
The Completed DIY Box Tops Reminder Magnets!
These little magnets make the perfect subtle-but-not-too-subtle reminders to SAVE THOSE BOX TOPS!
We keep one on our fridge too, and they’re quite handy. I mean, can you ever really have too many magnets?
Box Tops Reminder FREE Cut File & Printable!
Like I mentioned, this image I created can be used on more than just DIY magnets.
Feel free to print it out and use it on anything you think can help your school collect more Box Tops and raise more money.
You can even skip the printing and just use the digital file for newsletters, email reminders, and more. Enjoy!
