Race Car Valentine’s Day Cards with Free Printable

My son had his very first school Valentine’s Day party yesterday, and Momma here was definitely way more excited about it than he was!  I mean, he’s only two, so he doesn’t get too excited about anything other than Blaze & the Monster Machines, M&M’s, garbage trucks, and puppy dogs.

I, on the other hand, couldn’t WAIT to make the little Valentine cards for him to pass out to his classmates and teachers!  Just another excuse to get my craft on.

Since Rowan is all boy and totally obsessed with all things transportation, I decided it would be more than appropriate for him to pass out some toy race cars with several oh so punny sayings.  After scouring Pinterest and Google for ideas, I whipped up these bad boys in no time….and you can snag the FREE printable if you’d like your little lad or lady to use them for their Valentine cards too!

The Easy How-To:

These cards come in four different puntacular sayings:

  • I wheelie like you.
  • You rev my engine.
  • You make my heart race.
  • I like how you roll.

I printed them out four per 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of matte photo paper, but you could also use card stock if you wanted them to be extra sturdy.  My paper trimmer worked perfectly to cut them out to size.

The cars are from Dollar Tree….and they came three to a pack!  So I got twelve cars for only $4.  Score!  Lastly, to attach the cars to the cards, I just used a small strip of some decorative red washi tape across the top.  Couldn’t be easier!

I just think these cards turned out so adorable!  And they were super simple to put together, too.  Ya can’t beat that!

Feel free to download the free printable for your kiddo to use for his/her Valentine’s Day fun!  It’s an 8.5″ x 11″ JPG file with four cards (one of each saying).  My son’s cards were obviously personalized with his classmates’/teachers’ names, so the freebie has a colorful “Valentine” printed up top, and there’s a matching colorful “Your Friend” at the bottom.  Your child can simply sign their name, attach the cars, then pass out to their friends!  Enjoy!
